Obituary of Hugh J. Shannon

Hugh J. Shannon, age 93, of Cloquet, passed away on December 18, 2018. Preceded in death by his parents John and Emma Shannon, son Gordon; grandson Luke; brothers Lloyd, John, and Joseph; sister Joyce Kahn; step-granddaughter Betheny Stresow; and former wife Trudy. Survived by his wife Janet; son Tony (Cynthia); daughter Tricia; sisters Myrna Corbell and Luella (Carl) Markham; stepdaughter Laura Stresow, step-grandchildren Ed (Erin), Paul and Zoey, as well as many other loving family members and friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Essentia Hospice and Chris Jensen caregivers for their care and support of Hugh and our family. Celebration of life will be Thursday, December 27, at 3:00 PM, at First Memorial Funeral Chapel, 4100 Grand Avenue, Duluth, with visitation one hour prior to service.
