Obituary of Bonnie Jean Moccio

Bonnie J. Moccio
(1936 – 2018)

Bonnie Jean (Acton) Moccio, age 82, of Deephaven, MN, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2018 surrounded by loving family.  Bonnie was born in Sterling, IL to H. Lyle and Bernice J. Acton.  She grew up in Pittsburgh, PA, graduated from The College of Wooster (OH) in 1958 and served in the Red Cross in Germany for three years. Subsequently, she spent the majority of her life in Westfield, MA teaching in and retiring from the Agawam School System.  She spent the latter part of her life in Minnesota where she was very active in her church and community.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Peter B. Acton. She will be greatly missed by her daughters Sara Jean Moccio (Fred Schmidt) of Haverhill, MA and Susan Krueger (Mike) of Minnetonka, MN; brother Arthur J. Acton (Mary Ann); sister-in-law Beatriz Acton; grandchildren, Kerri (Mike) Nimerowski, Ryan Schmidt and Jenna Krueger; as well as many nieces, cousins and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at Wayzata Community Church, 125 Wayzata Blvd. E, Wayzata, MN on Friday, December 28, 2018 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Bonnie’s name to the Wayzata Community Church, Thimble Bees Ministry.
