Obituary of Waino Paul Rasanen

Waino Paul Rasanen, age 94, passed away peacefully surrounded by family Saturday, December 15th, 2018.

He was born September 8, 1924, in Toivola, MN. Waino was stationed at Ft. Leavenworth, KS for approximately 2 years. On April 5th, 1952 he married Alyce L. Bruley. Shortly after they moved to California.

Waino worked for the U.S. Postal Service Vehicle and Maintenance Facility in the San Francisco Bay Area, the largest in the western region. He was a parts distributor where he supervised and issued parts for all postal vehicles. Waino retired in 1984.

The family moved back to Minnesota in 1995. During retirement he and his wife traveled extensively in their motorhome throughout the U.S., including Alaska.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Arne Maki and sister, Aune Kangas.

Waino is survived by his loving wife Alyce; daughter, Sandra (Dennis) Enquist; grandchildren, Sarah and Eric Enquist; niece, Beverly (Jack) Hoppe; cousin, Nita Baldwin; and several other relatives and friends.
