Obituary of Rosemary Holt

Rosemary Holt, age 93, formerly of Eden Prairie, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2018.  Survived by children: Gerry, Tom (Debbie), Gail (Sam) Riesgraf and Jim; grandchildren: Luke (Mackenzie Kelley), Zach and Parker Riesgraf and John (fiancée Amber Hindt), Rachel Heisler (Ryan) and Karly Holt; sister, Dolores Heine and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by loving husband of 65 years, Jack Holt; parents, Alphonse and Clara Obermiller; siblings: Phyllis Szepanski, Audrey Welle, Vivian Valentine and Alphonse, Jr. She enjoyed spending time with family, particularly for special events like holiday meals, weddings, graduations, summer visits up-north, or backyard barbecues.  She liked playing slots at the casinos, playing poker with her siblings and in-laws, and playing other card games with family and friends.  She had great fun seeing her teams (Twins, Vikings, Gophers) win and shopping when she was able to visit the bargain rack and find a new treasure. Special thanks to the care teams at Shakopee Friendship Manor and Allina Hospice. Memorial Mass at 11 AM Wednesday, December 19 at St. Bonaventure Church, 901 E 90th St., Bloomington. Visitation 1 hour prior to Mass.  Private interment, Fort Snelling National Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to St. Bonaventure Catholic Church or charity of donor’s choice.
