Obituary of Janet Lenvik Benson

Janet Lenvik Benson, age 83, Eden Prairie, MN. Feb 28, 1935 - Nov 22, 2018. Beloved mother, grandmother, mentor, educator and dear friend to all. She is survived by her adult children, Caryn (George), Kris (David), JB (Heather) and Dean (Laurie); grandchildren: Jenny, Jake, Tommy and Dani. Retired teacher extraordinaire at various schools, retiring from Edison HS in Mpls. Post retirement resource person and mentor for dozens of Wallin scholarship recipients as well as mentor to hundreds of ESL students and "American Mom" to several. A celebration of Janet's life will be held from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM on Wed., Dec 19, 2018 at Minnesota Valley Country Club, 6300 Auto Club Rd., Bloomington, MN 55438 In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to Janet Benson Memorial Scholarship Fund Edison High.
