Obituary of Shirley Mae Mitchell

Shirley Mae Mitchell (McKenzie) passed away on November 30th, 2018 at Mercy Hospital.  Shirley was born on May 6th, 1934 in White Earth, MN to Charles and Florence McKenzie. 

Shirley married Richard Mitchell on May 28th, 1955 in Cedar, MN and shortly after moved to Cambridge, MN where they started a family and raised their 4 children.  Shirley worked at Federal Cartridge for 20 years and enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  Shirley died of a broken heart as her beloved husband of 63 years passed away just 6 weeks prior to her death.  In Heaven, they are reunited.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard (Dick) Mitchell; sister, Dode; and brothers, Dennis and Pete.

Shirley is survived by her four children, Grant (Penny) Mitchell of Ramsey, Debbie (Glenn) Comstock of St. Francis, Patricia (Arden) Koosmann of Blaine, and Richard (Laurie) Mitchell of Cambridge; four grandchildren, Bridgette, Charlie, Nicole, and Richard; four great grandchildren, Sophia, Landon, Taylor and Vada and her beloved dog, Trinity.
