Obituary of Nancy Mae Wengenroth

Wengenroth, Nancy Mae Age 68 of Edina, Minnesota, passed away on Wed. Nov. 28, 2018. Nancy attended the University of Wisconsin Madison earning a degree in child development. She went on to pursue her dreams in dance, touring the United States in a road show, and starting a jazz dance program in Evanston, Illinois. Nancy revived her passion for dance later in life as a successful amateur dancer for the Arthur Murray Dance Studio, bringing great joy to her and her loved ones. Nancy's talent and passion for dance were matched by her enthusiasm and skill for cooking. Nancy was written up in the Star Tribune for her delectable coffee toffee pie. Being diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes shortly thereafter, she continued her passion for cooking, avoiding sugary deserts. Nancy's passion for dance and cooking was only surpassed by her deep love for close friends, her late husband, Thomas E. Sanner, and their sons, Roth (Caroline Nord) and Jorgen Sanner (Brandi Crotty), of Minneapolis. Nancy and Tom began their lifelong love affair as teenagers, bringing happiness and joy to friends around them, and Roth and Jorgen, in whom Nancy took great pride and joy. In addition to her sons, Nancy is survived by her two grandchildren, Hartley and Eliza Sanner There will be a memorial service this Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church in downtown Minneapolis.
