Obituary of William Sullivan
William “Sully” Sullivan, 72, of Lake Elmo, passed away with his family by his side on Thanksgiving, 2018. Bill was born on January 7, 1946 to Clarence and Genevieve (Unger) Sullivan in St. Paul. He was a lifelong educator in the Forest Lake School District, teaching middle school earth science. He attended the University of Minnesota, graduating with a degree in Forestry and Master’s Degree in Education. Bill was a member of St. Michael’s Church in Stillwater. Bill will be remembered as a caring and selfless husband, father, grandfather, and “beebop.”
Bill is preceded in death by his parents: Clarence and Genevieve (Unger) Sullivan, Siblings: Kenny, Jerry, Joan (Bert) Wallner, Ron (Carolyn), and Mike.
Bill is survived by his wife of 43 years, Cathie, his children: Jennifer, Sean (Heidi) Sullivan, grandchildren: Colin (Josh), Mari, Vannie, Arya, Sophia, sisters-in-law: Theresa, and Cathy, many nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Intrepid Hospice.
Visitation and mass will be held at St. Michaels Catholic Church (611 3rd St. S. Stillwater MN, 55082) on Friday, November 30th, 2018. Visitation will be held from 9am-11am, mass will be at 11am. Luncheon to follow mass. Burial will be held at Union Cemetery (2505 Minnehaha Ave E. Maplewood MN, 55119) immediately following luncheon.
