Obituary of Silvian D Sundrum
Silvian D. Sundrum entered this world on 31 July 1940 in Durban, South Africa, the son of Rev. John Moses and Ruth Sundrum. Educated in Durban, he taught in Natal until 1964 when he went first to London and then Ghana to teach English. In Ghana he met and married Joy Andreas of Montevideo MN and in 1968 they came to Minneapolis where two children enriched their lives. His teaching career was at St. Margaret’s Academy and Benilde-St. Margaret’s. He was known for his wit, intelligence, love of teaching and respect for diversity. He left us bodily on 16 Nov 2018 and is survived by his wife Joy, son David, daughter Susan (Jeremy) Towle, grandchildren Ariana and Logan, nieces and nephew in South Africa, Canada and New Zealand and foster family of Sulayman, Rita and Momodou. Services have been held and he is missed beyond measure. Remember Silvian with a contribution to an international charity.
