Obituary of Dorothy McManus

Dorothy McManus, 101, Hermantown, passed away at Chris Jensen Nursing Home in Duluth on November 18, 2018.

Dorothy was born March 11, 1917 in Adolph, MN to George and Frances Sundstrom. She grew up in Duluth and graduated from Proctor High School. Dorothy married her husband, Scott, in 1940. She was a dedicated wife and mother, and was recognized for her numerous volunteer activities with an Outstanding Senior Citizen award from Saint Louis County. She enjoyed her volunteer work and visiting with family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Scott, sister Carol Foro and brother Dewey Sundstrom. She is survived by her three children; Kathy (Pat) Hanson of Hermantown, Mike (Kandy) McManus of Proctor, and Randy (Willy) McManus of Pike Lake; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Dorothy will be remembered as a kind and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a good friend to many. She will be missed.

Memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, Nov. 26, at Cremation Society of Minnesota, Duluth.
