Obituary of Meredith Joyce Magnuson

Meredith Joyce Magnuson, age 87, longtime resident of Two Harbors, MN passed away Friday, November 16, 2018 at Ecumen Scenic Shores, Two Harbors, with family at her side.

She was born June 9, 1931 in Duluth to Rex and Hannah Freeman. On June 25, 1949 Meredith married Gustaf R. "Bob" Magnuson.

She was a member of the Moose Club and the American Legion in Two Harbors. Meredith was known for her cooking, baking and welcoming everyone into her home. She will always be remembered for her kindness, compassion and caring for others. Meredith enjoyed camping, gardening and time spent with family at their cabin.

Meredith was preceded in death by her parents, several brothers and sisters and daughter-in-law, Sally Magnuson.

She is survived by her loving husband, Bob; daughter, Roberta (Mike) Wick and son, Tom; grandchildren, Laura McMahon, Amy (Roger) Coombs, Dustin (Chelsey) Magnuson and Ashley Magnuson; great-grandchildren, Ava and Eve, Bryce and Rylan, Rogeena and Rashid; brother, Jack (Pat) Freeman; sister-in-law, Fran Magnuson; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

A celebration of Meredith's life will be held Wed., Nov. 21st at the Moose Lodge in Two harbors, beginning at 3 p.m.
