Deborah Jordan

Obituary of Deborah Ann Jordan

Deborah Ann Jordan (Gassman), 59, of Apple Valley, MN went to her heavenly home on the morning of November 16, 2018, surrounded by her family, after a 6 1/2 year long battle with multiple myeloma and crossed the finish line with complete and ultimate trust in God.

Debbie was born in Ithaca, NY on June 26, 1959 and would reign as the oldest of the seven children of Gerda Ann Gassman (Rozler) and the late Dr. Paul G. Gassman. Her life took stops in Columbus, OH, St Paul, MN and Chicago, IL before settling with her family in Apple Valley, MN in 1991. Due to her excellent work ethic, Debbie was known as one of the most respected residential real estate appraisers in Minnesota.

Debbie will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 39 years, Jerry Jordan; three beloved children, Nicole Jordan (Charles) Hubert, Jeffrey Michael Jordan and Brooke Michele Jordan; Alan Hunt; four grandchildren who brought her great joy, Trafton Hubert (8), Evey Hunt (8), Willa Hunt (4) and Sloane Hubert (4); her six siblings, Michael (Jennifer) Gassman, Vicki (Mark) McMorrow, Nancy Gassman, Amy (Ford) Bell, Kimberly (Mark) Klayum, and Eric (Tina) Gassman; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and countless others whom she befriended daily.

Debbie loved her family so deeply. She was an amazing mother, wife, and the best Lala in the world.  She was a gifted mentor and leader to many and had a passion for learning and teaching the Bible. She was the most loyal of friends and an ever gracious hostess, making all feel welcome as she entertained at “Club Jordan.”

Debbie was a member at Chapel Hill Church in Eagan, MN where she was an inspiration to hundreds through mentoring, teaching the Bible, and passionately sharing Christ’s light and love as His good and faithful servant.

In Debbie’s own words she “lived a blessed life.” She cared about every detail of the lives of everyone she encountered. She was the blessing and she will be profoundly missed.

There will be a memorial service held at Chapel Hill Church, 4888 Pilot Knob Road, Eagan, MN on Saturday, November 24, at 11:00 am with a reception to follow.
