Obituary of Clifton G. Lingle
Clifton G. Lingle, 98, passed away November 12, 2018. Survived by wife of 68 years, Ardythe; children, Susan (Richard) Hinrichs and Paul (Judith) Lingle; grandchildren: Eric Hinrichs, Cheryl Von Bank, Michelle Dittmar and Thomas Lingle; great-grandchildren: Bella, Luke and Harrison; sisters, Grace Lawson and Joyce Buckley; brother, Emmett Lingle and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Anna and Jack Lingle; sister, Lois Larson; brother, David Lingle; two nephews, one niece and many friends. Clif served in the Army as a SGT in the South Pacific during WWII. He worked as a controller/accountant for a manufacturing co. for over 40 years. Integrity, honesty, hard work, love and kindness were character traits that he upheld throughout his life. Clif loved life and enjoyed being with his family and had numerous interests including his faith, nature, cards, bowling, golf and traveling. Clif was a Shriner and often volunteered his time to various organizations. The family wishes to thank the staff at Nine Mile Creek Senior Living for their care and support. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 29 at Diamond Lake Lutheran Church, 5760 Portland Ave. S., Minneapolis, MN 55417. Visitation one hour prior to service at church. Private interment, Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Diamond Lake Lutheran Church or charity of donor’s choice.
