Obituary of Robin Marie Viele

Robin Marie (Lathrop) Viele passed away peacefully surrounded by her family after losing her courageous battle with cancer on November 8th, 2018. Robin was born in Duluth on November 4, 1961 to Gail and Webster Lathrop. Robin attended Homecroft Elementary, Washington Junior High and graduated from East High School in 1980. Robin was always a hard-working woman, she enjoyed her career and took pride in her work. Robin entered the trades (local 106) as a union painter in August of 1990, Robin retired this past year from Swanson & Youngdale. Robin was a fun loving woman with a generous and compassionate heart. She always had spunk and a zest for life, Robin could light up a room with just her smile alone.Robin was preceded in death by her grandparents Walter and Esther Baker. She is survived by her parents Gail and Webster Lathrop, husband Lonn Viele and his family, her children Candi and Michael Lindholm, sister Lori (Richard) Samuelson, brother Dan (Debbie) Lathrop, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Visitation: 3-6pm Friday November 16th at the Cremation Society 4100 Grand Ave Duluth, MN 55807 with a celebration of life to follow from 7-10 at the Other Place Bar and Grill 3930 E Calvary Road Duluth, MN 55803.
