Obituary of Gary John Peterson

Gary was an amazing: husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle, neighbor and world traveler. He passed away in the early hours of Sunday morning from complications of pancreatic cancer. He was surrounded by family, who will carry his joyful memories with them forever. Gary was a devoted husband to Ellen for 26+ years. He loved to boast of all their happy times and future plans. He was passionate about his family, fishing and all MN sports. Gary could often be found by the lake with a good book or favorite drink in his hand. He had a warm smile and welcoming spirit that touched the lives of so many. His memory lives on in those he left behind. Survived by wife Ellen. Children: Becky Peterson (Andrew Lingren), Krista (Erik) Jack, Brian (Anna) Parham, Christy (K.C.) Kimbrel. Grandchildren: Riley, Claire, Audrey, Matthew, Piper, Maddy and Jordin. Siblings: Lynn (Gordy) Besch, Joan McDonough, Jack Peterson. Services: Our Lady of the Lake - 2385 Commerce Blvd. Mound - Fri. Nov. 16th - 10am visitation 11am service.
