Obituary of Ida Christine Gorder

Ida Christine Gorder of Proctor died Sunday, November 4 in her home.

She was born in Munchen, Germany on July 4, 1937 to Markus and Maria Vielweber. She was a makeup artist for MaxFactor and owned a number of businesses in Duluth.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, former husband Bobbie Knoblock, sister-in-law Char Kelly and the love of her life husband LeRoy Gorder, who died in November 2015.

She is survived by: daughter Michelle (Paul) Ryan, grand-daughter Bobbie Lee (Zachary) Leischke and great-granddaughter Emmy Rae Leischke born October 29, 2018; sister Inge Obermeir, niece Marion Obermeir; both of Munchen, god-daughter Isabella, mother-in-law Evelyn Lepley, brothers-in-law Albert (JoAnne) Gorder and Tom Kelly; nieces Tami (Dave) Patterson, Jodi and (John) Lorenz and great nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at the Proctor Moose Lodge Friday, November 9 from 3 to 6 p.m.
