Obituary of William Joseph Kenney

William “Bill” Joseph Kenney, age 66, passed away peacefully in St. Paul, MN on November 5, 2018. Born in Minneapolis on January 28, 1952, Bill was a true artist from the start. His skills in design, illustration and art direction sustained a remarkable career in the Minneapolis advertising community. His talent as a painter and fine artist made him an influential figure to many. His love for singing and songwriting led to musical projects including several rock bands in which he was always the lead singer. As a loving father to four boys, he showed the way to live a creative life. His creative spirit and optimistic worldview brought him many friends. He is preceded in death by his mother JoAnn. He is survived by father Richard “Jerry;” loving wife Jeri; sons Nicholson (Karen), Miles (Nikko), Jackson (Amber), and Clayton; grandchildren Maximilian and Jaycie; and brothers Mike, Rick, and Steve. A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at  Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 701 Fillmore Street NE, Minneapolis, MN 55413 Saturday, November 10, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. Visitors are welcome at the church starting at 10 a.m.
