Obituary of Debra Renae Fincham

Dr. Debra Renae Fincham, 68, Edina, died in the early hours of Monday, November 5th at the N.C. Little Hospice in Edina, MN after a 10-year struggle with Alzheimer's disease. Debra was born April 16th 1950 in Albert Lea to parents Duane and Darlene (Hoeve) Anderson. Debra had a passion for and pursued a career in education. She rose to the position of principal in Faribault, Nerstrand and Bloomington and was beloved by students and faculty throughout her career. In 2004, Debra earned her EdD in Educational Leadership and was named the Assistant Superintendent for Bloomington Public Schools. Debra also served as president of Bloomington Rotary. Debra is survived by her husband Douglas Fincham, sons Ryan Fincham and Mark (Sarah) Fincham, granddaughters Rylee and Annie, sisters Paula and Vicki. Funeral and memorial service will be held on Friday, November 9th 12:00-2pm at Lakewood Cemetery Chapel, lunch following. All are welcome.
