Andrew "Andy" Steele Webb

Webb, Andrew S. age 76 of Duluth, MN passed away October 26, 2018. Preceded in death by wife Ann, parents William and Drewsilla. Survived by daughters Annette (John) Thayer, Angela Milinkovich and grandson Cooper, brother William (Elizabeth) and niece Christine. Born in Chicago, Andy grew fond of the Scottish homeland of his wife, traveling there often with his family. Andy served his country in the U.S. Army with a tour in Vietnam. A pilot, he continued to serve as a civilian air traffic controller for the Federal Aviation Administration, retiring in 1994 as manager of the Duluth tower. He devoted over 20 years to the all-volunteer Lake Superior & Mississippi Railroad (www.lsmrr.org) tourist train in West Duluth, selflessly giving countless hours. Andy loved his family, "the railroad," reading science fiction and McDonalds. To know Andy was to have a true friend. Memorial service Friday, November 2, 3 PM, visitation beginning 2 PM at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Ave. Duluth, MN.
