Obituary of Francis Dale Simmons

Age 81, Dale passed away October 23, 2018 in his home at Folkestone in Wayzata from complications with Parkinson’s disease. He was preceded in death by parents, Ruth Baker and Francis “Cy” Simmons of Smyrna, NY. He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Marilyn Janis Montgomery, sons: Bryan Scott (Colleen Bayerl), Minneapolis, Geoffrey David (Heidi Nilsen) Lakeville, granddaughters: Camryn Grace, Paige Catherine, Sienna Frances, Minneapolis, grandson: Thomas Waterman, Minneapolis, brother: David Baker Simmons (Pamela MacDowell) Smyrna, NY, nephews: Keven Simmons (Melanie) Sherburne, NY, Darren Simmons (Gwen), Oneida, NY , Nathan Simmons (Kristine) Sparta, NJ along with cousins and several grand nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Wayzata Community Church 125 Wayzata Blvd East, Wayzata, MN on Monday, November 5, 2018 at 2:00 PM with a Dessert Buffet in Founders’ Hall following the service. Memorials to Struthers Parkinson’s Center, Wayzata Community Church (Memo Music Program) and Presbyterian Homes Foundation (Memo Folkestone Singers).
