Obituary of Elaine Nelson

Elaine (Tima) Nelson

Of  New Brighton , MN  Passed away October 21, 2018.

Born in Minneapolis, MN to Leo and Anna Tima. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Arlene (Alvin) Taute and brother, Joe Tima.

She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Maurice (Morry) and her two children Vicki  (Dean) Groth, and Mark (Karen) Nelson. She leaves behind 3 grandchildren, Jeff Groth, Jacob  (Kandice) Groth , Brody Nelson and a great- granddaughter Brynley Groth.

Elaine was a hairdresser for over 40 years. She set up shops in various nursing homes throughout the Twin Cities. She loved to garden, spend time with her grand kids and winter in Florida with her husband. She loved being at home during the summer and spending time on her yard. She was a master story teller to her grandkids and always had them mesmerized by her animated tales. 

We are sad and will remember our time on earth with her but we rejoice in her home going. She is whole and with the Lord.

Her favorite bible verse, which led her to a saving relationship with Jesus is John 14:6

“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the father except through me”  Elaine truly believed salvation could only be found by faith in Jesus Christ.

A CELEBRATION OF LIFE WILL BE HELD FRIDAY NOVEMBER 9, 11am. Visitation is one hour before the service.

Celebration will be held at EAGLEBROOK CHURCH located AT 8498 SUNSET ROAD N.E.
