Obituary of Clarence S. Wojtkowiak

larence S. Wojtkowiak, 89, of Duluth passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at Golden Oaks Assisted Living, Proctor, MN.

He was born January 29, 1929 in Duluth to Stanley and Martha Wojtkowiak. Clarence attended schools in Duluth, and at the age of 17, with his determination and his parent's permission, enlisted in the United States Navy, proudly serving with the "Seebees."

Clarence returned to Duluth and was a 1950 graduate of Denfeld High School. On June 19, 1954 he married the love of his life, Theresa Bukowski and they were together 62 years.

Clarence retired from the City of Duluth Water and Gas Department after 31 years as an Appliance Mechanic. He was awarded with the "Exceptional Employee Award" for all his hard work and dedication.

Clarence loved watching the Lawrence Welk Show, listening and dancing to Polka music and he also played the accordion. He loved to fish but most of all Clarence loved his family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa; his parents; and one sister, Irene Bukowski.

Clarence is survived by sons, Steve (Julie), Kenny (Theresa), Jeff and daughter, Janet Wojtkowiak; three grandchildren, Emma, Aubrey, London and Lily; two special golden doodles, Bolt and Angel. He will be dearly missed by his family.

The family would like to thank Dr. Gilbertson, St. Luke's Hospice and Golden Oaks of Proctor for the exceptional care they provided to Clarence. At Clarence's request, a private family service will be held.
