Obituary of George A. Mehling, Jr.

George Albert Mehling Jr passed away peacefully with family by his side at Interfaith Care Center in Carlton Mn on August 26 2018, at the age of 75.

George is predeceased by his wife Marsha, daughter Tammy, son George Kelly, parents George and Ardice, and brother Gordon.

George is lovingly remembered by his daughter Wendy, son Matthew; 6 grandchildren Anthony, Danna, Cody, Christian, Briana, and Kassidy; 3 great grandchildren Madison, Waylon, and Isabella; sisters Roberta (Dale) Goman and Barb Richmeier.

George was born in Duluth Mn on September 17 1942 and graduated from Proctor High School in 1960. He went on to college at UMD and earned a degree as an electrician. He then worked for Minnesota Power and retired after 35 years if service in 1998.

George enjoyed spending time with family, camping,traveling, great food and good music!

A funeral service will be held at Inter-Faith Care Center, 811 3rd. Street, Carlton Mn on Sunday, October 28 2018. Visitation will be at 2:00 PM with service at 2:30 pm. Pastor Mike Steven's from Good Hope Church of Cloquet will be officiating. Lunch to follow service.
