Obituary of Kristine Lynn (Larson) Sternal

Kristine Lynn (Larson) Sternal, 53, passed away at her home on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 with her loving husband and family members by her side. Kris was born on February 12, 1965 to David C. and Betty (Sue) Larson in Duluth. She graduated from Proctor High School in 1983 and worked throughout her life in various jobs including the Duluth Bethel and HDC.

Kris married the love of her life and best friend Mark Sternal on April 11, 2000 and they shared eighteen wonderful years together. Kris had a great passion for fashion and was always impeccably dressed. She had a wonderful smile for all and a very kind heart. Kris and Mark enjoyed entertaining family and friends and there was always plenty of good food and fun times; playing yard games or board games something Kris did not like to lose at.

Kris is preceded in death by her parents; mother-in-law and father-in-law George and Ruth Sternal, sister-in-law Lisa Sternal, and close friend Marty Jezierski.

She is survived by her loving husband Mark and their dog Buddy; sisters, Julie Jezierski, Denise (Dee Dee) Burke (Paul) and brother, David Guy Larson. Sister-in-law, Lori Sternal Ventrella (Collin), brother-in-law, Mike Sternal (Cindy) seven nieces, four nephews along with great nieces and nephews.

Mark and the family would like to thank her medical team at Duluth Family Medical Clinic, Essentia Health and the Essentia Health Hospice Program for the kind and compassionate care they provided to Kris.

A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Avenue, Duluth, MN. Visitation is at 2pm, service at 3pm with a reception to follow.
