Obituary of Edgar J. Terry

Edgar J. Terry, 89, Superior, WI, passed on September 8, 2018, at Marywood Benedictine Health Center, Duluth. Edgar was born in Int'l Falls, MN to John and Cecelia Terry.

He graduated from Falls HS, where he met his wife of 67 years, Vera Wolk. Edgar played on the undefeated 1946 Broncos football team and received "Honorable Mention" for All-State Honors on offense and defense. He moved to Superior in 1958.

A printer 33 years at The Duluth News Tribune, 12 years at the Int'l Falls Daily Journal, and 3 years at the Superior Evening Telegram.

Edgar enjoyed fishing the Brule River, the lakes of Trillium and Rainy, solving the problems and woes of home-ownership, loved to laugh and admired a great sense of humor. Above all, he cherished his family, the love of God, and his church community.

Edgar was preceded in death by his wife, Vera Terry; parents John and Cecelia Terry; and sister, Verone Buboltz.

He is survived by sons, Ryan (Joanne) Terry of Stillwater, MN, Randy (Janice) Terry of Superior, and Robby (Karla) Terry of Superior; grandchildren, Melissa Terry, Michelle (David) Dreckmann, Jamie Lyn (Eric) Mueller; five great-grandchildren.

During a difficult time the family thanks the staff of Marywood - Sunrise Unit for the care and compassion provided and the community of St. Alban's Church for all their support and prayers.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, October 27, 2018, at St. Alban's Episcopal Church with luncheon to follow. Visitation will be at the Church 1 hour before Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to St. Alban's Church, 1510 New York Ave., Superior, WI 54880.
