Joseph "Ron" Talbot, 87, of Duluth, passed away Saturday, October 6, 2018 in Solvay Hospice House in Duluth.
Ron was born May 25, 1931 to James R. and Frieda Talbot.
Ron attended St. Rose grade school, Proctor Junior and Senior High School where he participated in football, basketball, and track. Leaving school he was hired on the DM&IR Railroad. Returning home they were blessed with two sons over the next 4 years and Ron returned to work for the DM&IR Railway as an equipment operator. He also became involved with the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employees Locals 1710 & 1711 as a General Chairman of the Joint Protective Board for 9 years.
He enjoyed every day of his life and every day was to be better than the last. Some of the activities that he liked were reading at the library, hiking the western Duluth hillsides, maintaining his yard, and cruising in his Corvette.
