Obituary of Irma (Byer) Nelson

83, passed away at Saint Otto’s Care Center in Little Falls on Tuesday, Sept. 18. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Arlington Haus Too in Arlington from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7. She was born to parents Charles and Mabel (Wentzlaff) Byer in Helga Township on July 28, 1935.   Irma was a lifelong resident of Fort Ripley. She is survived by her children, Jean (Mike) Schwope, Tammy Schultz, Jeff Olson, Mike (Patti) Olson, and Penney Fasching; grandchildren, Jason Soeffker, Jesse (Cris) Soeffker, Lucas (Bailey) Schwope, Tanya (Chris Bick) Schultz, Jeremy (Tara) Schultz, Justin Olson, Josh (Jada) Olson, Megan Olson, Jaxon Fasching, and BayLee Fasching; 12 great grandchildren; siblings Melvin (LaVonne) Byer, Dorothy Brockhoff,  Geri (Ron) Wischnack, JoAnn (Bob) Kroells and Sharon (Chuck) Shimota; and sister-in-law, Caroline Byer. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Ervin Byer; and brother-in-law, Earl Brockhoff.
