Obituary of Thomas Alan Bateson
Bateson, Thomas A.
Age 88 of Mpls. Preceded in death by his brother, Jack; his West High School sweetheart and love of his life, Lois, after 60 years
of marriage. Survived by sons, Mike (Julie), Mark (Sharon), Marty (Betsy); seven grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren. After a career in commercial art and advertising, Tom volunteered at the Minnesota State Services for the Blind for 20 years recording text books, novels and radio programs. A happy humbug, Tom enjoyed being with his family, clock collecting, cartooning, wood carving, and birding. At Tom’s request, there will be no memorial service and interment will be private. Memorials preferred to the American Cancer Society.
