Obituary of Nancy Gleason

On September 3, 2018, after 92 years of helping us run our lives, she shared her last few opinions and moved on to her next job. Nancy resided in Edina, formerly of Richfield and Fort Snelling. She was born in Baltimore, MD to Frank and Coletta Breitung on June 14, 1926. Preceded in death by husband, Donald Gleason. Survived by daughters, Donna O'Neill (Bill), Sue Anderson (Tom), Ginger Venable (Tom); 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren. Nancy enjoyed sailing, traveling, gourmet cooking, and she never touched a computer. She was a vibrant woman who was meaningfully invested in her friends and family. She enjoyed flowers, cocktails, and being famously blunt. The family invites you to celebrate her spunky life on Friday, October 12 at 6:00 PM at the Edina Cremation Society. For those of you who would like to join us in a Catholic mass, there will be a small service at St. Richard's Church in Richfield on Saturday, October 13 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers: Bluebirds and Blooms in Edina or Hammer Residences.
