Obituary of Denny Robert Sullivan

Denny Robert Sullivan, 66, of Duluth passed away on September 22, 2018, at Essentia surrounded by his family and beloved dogs. Denny was born in Duluth on June 8, 1952, to Robert (Bob) and Ethel (Peterson) Sullivan. After graduating from Denfeld, Denny proudly served in the Air Force in the special intelligence division. One of his greatest joys was being a dad and spending time with his son. In addition, he enjoyed reading, camping, and playing chess as he nourished his soul with knowledge and nature. He completed his nursing degree and worked in the health care profession until he retired in 2014. On September 22, 2018, Denny married his best friend of eighteen years, Shari Peterson.

Denny is preceded in death by his parents, sister Roberta Sullivan, and his mother-in-law Jean Peterson. He is survived by his wife Shari, son Matthew (Christi) of Minneapolis, sister Sandra Lee Olson (Culver), brother Kelly (Barnum), father-in-law Dick Peterson (Esko), many nieces and nephews, and Zeke and Rue.
