Obituary of Lyle B. Sannes

Age 78, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 24, 2018. Preceded in death by parents, Lawrence and Lillian; sister, Lois. Survived by loving wife of 56 years, Zona; sons, Jon (Julaine), Jay (Brenda) and Mark (Alison); grandchildren, Cameron, Addison, Drew, Ethan, Sophie, Lily and Nora; brothers, Jerome (Marilyn) and Terry (Pauline); nieces, nephews, relatives and good friends. Memorial service 3 pm on Sunday, September 30th at Lutheran Church of the Cross, Nisswa, MN. Visitation one hour prior to service at the church. Private interment at Little Norway Lutheran Cemetery in Fertile, MN. Lyle grew up in Fertile, MN and graduated from Fertile High School in 1958. He attended Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in 1962. He married Zona Carr in Washburn, ND later that year. Lyle taught and coached across southwest Minnesota before pursuing a career in sales and leasing. Upon retirement, he and Zona spent 21 winters in Southern California and Surprise, AZ. He enjoyed golfing, billiards league, and playing, watching, and cheering on his family in countless baseball games throughout his life. His conversational skills were always on display, and his friendly smile and positive outlook will be missed. Memorials to Little Norway Lutheran Church, Fertile, MN.
