Obituary of Russell C. Ullery

Russell C. Ullery of Park Rapids departed this earth on Sept. 18, 2018 in Somerset, WI at the home of his daughter, Betty. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on Oct. 29, 1936 and spent his youth in Christiansburg, Ohio. Upon completion of high school, he along with a few friends joined the Marine Corps. As a proud Marine he met his future wife Patti and was married Feb.22, 1957 and shortly after was transferred to Lake Meade, Nevada.After being discharged from the Marines they returned to Ohio, making a home in Springfield for many years. Being an avid hunter and outdoorsman, he and mom fulfilled their dream by moving to Park Rapids in 1966 and opened Russell’s Barber Shop which he ran for many years. Another dream became reality when he purchased his own 18-wheeler and he and mom enjoyed traveling the country and enjoyed life on the road. Russ will be deeply missed by his children, Ken (Janice) of Apple Valley MN, Betty (Jim) Pape of Somerset Wi, Lynn Dumais of Phoenix AZ and Ray (Tina) of Lexington OK. He will also be remembered by 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren along with other family and friends. He was greeted in Heaven by his Lord and Savior and was reunited with the love of his life Patti, his parents Raymond and Betty, brother Gary and his precious grandson Ethan. Russell’s Celebration of Life will be Sat. Oct.13, 2018 at 1 PM at the Cease Funeral Home in Park Rapids.
