Obituary of George E. Wietman

George E. Wietman Sept. 24, 2018. He was born in Schroeder, MN to Lawrence and Sophie(Pederson)Wietman on March 29, 1935. He graduated from Denfeld High School. He retired from long distant truck driving and then worked for Black Bear Hotel and Grussendorf Nursery.

George enjoyed fishing and canoeing and simply walking in the wood up North with his dogs.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Gayvonne (Howe) and son Shaun, his parents, and brothers Robert, Kelly, Lawrence Jr. and Gary.

George is survived by his wife, Evelyn (Krall), of 63 years. Children David of Kansas, Randy of Rhode Island, and Melanie Kucera of Duluth. Sons-in-law Robert Howe of Duluth and Scott Maylin of Duluth. Grandchildren Jessica, Amelia, Erin, Victoria, Daniel, Dustin, Brandon, and Samuel. Great-grandchildren Lily, Helaine and Shaun Michael. Brother Herb.

Private family graveside service will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Cremation Society of Minnesota, Duluth.
