Obituary of Sarah Jane Kyrklund, Ph.D.

Sarah Jane Kyrklund, Ph.D., age 76, of Edina. Survived by sister, Merrie Dahlgren (David); nieces Sarah Pritts (Timothy), Kari Dahlgren (Eduardo) and their children, and by many faithful friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Norm and Tuvy Kyrklund. Sarah received her education at Bethesda Chevy Chase High School, Bethesda, MD; American University, Washington, DC; University of Minnesota; and the University of Kansas. She was well regarded in the field of autism, and spent her career teaching kids with autism, as well as teaching the kids' teachers. She was in great demand as a speaker. She made the world a better place, especially for kids with autism. She was an accomplished designer in the art of Ikebana (Japanese flower arranging). Special thanks go to the caregivers at N C Little Hospice and to Pastor Dale Howard. Memorials to N C Little Hospice, Autism Society of Minnesota or Normandale Lutheran Church Private services have been held. She will be dearly missed.
