Obituary of M. Virginia Webster

M. Virginia Webster (Henderson/Conkey)
1927-2018
Age 90, of Mound, peacefully passed on Saturday, September 22nd but not before making sure her 11 children, 27 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren knew that she was almost a Rockette and instead used that experience to transform the Mound-Westonka Drill Team into the innovative, high kicking Mohawkette's Danceline in 1966.  She was a stickler when it came to grammar and often quizzed us on the correct use of there, their and they're as well as how to utilize affect and effect in a sentence.  A $5 bill in an annual snail mail Birthday card leaves the grandkids cherishing the ones they saved while great grandchildren are welcomed into the family by being given a personalized Christmas ornament. She has endless stories of her compelling life and stands by the claim of being related to Johnny Cash. She was an avid lover of history, politics, sports, her beloved cat (Sophie) and most of all her ever growing family. Her message to all would be as follows: When walking on the side of the road, always remember "what's wrong on the right is right on the left."
