I never even got to meet you in person. We worked together. You joined our team, and we were so happy to have you, and then we found out you were a quick learner, full of wit and all around good company. Our team bonded over the difficulties of our work and even though you were not actually with us in the office, you were with us on the team, backing us up, filling in the holes, standing alongside us with our keyboards ready to fix the broken computers. You were happy with us when things worked, and sad with us for our defeats, and raged alongside us in the way other geeks trying to fix a broken website on a conference call with a distressed customer will understand only too well. We talked about our jobs, our families, our kids. We shared our war stories and talked about our military experiences. You became my friend, and made my days a little brighter because I knew you were there to help with the tough stuff and to joke with us during shift changes. There is a hole in our team, and no one will ever fill it quite the same. I am glad I got to you know and that you were my friend. I am so sad that you are gone and I never got a chance to meet you in person and shake your hand. We miss you, and hope you rest easy, brother. We will take it from here.
My heart goes out to your family, Chris and the kids - you always referred to your "lady" "the boy" and "peanut" which always made me smile. You don't know me but I feel like I know all of you, and I know how much he cared for all of you. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I remember when Ben first came to Fort Drum. Such a greenhorn :) He beacame a great friend and Brother. Can’t believe you left us so soon. My heart goes out to the whole Family. You will be missed. When I get there, we will have a few and talk about old times. Love You Brother.

This just doesn't seem real. 46 years young. I talked to you earlier that day. You looked great. Such a caring neighbor. Made me laugh. Always listened to me as you were busy in the garage and I had so much to say. Patience. Kind. When I went through chemo you were right there for me. Snow came and you said stay inside, I got this. The one time I went out and you busted me. Lol. Get back in that house. I am coming over. Or I would have to carry in groceries and such and you made sure I got help. You and Chris were perfect together. This just breaks my heart. Your future was going to be great spending time together into the future. You are SO going to be missed by me and my dog Morgan. She thought you were such a goof when you would bark at her. Made me laugh. And loved it when you would call her over to give her a pet. I was going to go over the other day and ask a question about my phone. Oh. Can't. You were so smart. Like the time you came over to help me with my printer. I spent more hours than I will say and you come over and minutes later fixed. You amaze me. So many wonderful memories. Just wish this didn't happen. I am SO sorry Chris and kiddos. I am here for you. Just like Ben was here for me. I'm just slower than him and not as smart. Giggle. Blessings. Kindness. Smart. Cute. :) Caring. I could go on.

I keep running around in my head What if??? or If only??? I miss you! You left me way to soon. Our dreams will never be fulfilled. I will never forget you and am grateful for the 6 1/2 years that we had. I LOVE YOU!!!!
