Obituary of Susan Mary Oleen Wright

Susan Mary Oleen Wright, 55, of Duluth, lost her battle with cancer on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Solvay Hospice House. Susan was born in Minneapolis on August 3, 1962 to Jim and Betty (Simonson) Wright. She graduated from Denfeld High School in 1980. Susan worked in the deli department at Super One for many years. She was very active in sports throughout her life, playing softball for nearly 50 years. In her younger years she enjoyed playing broomball and hockey and later she was on both billiard and bowling leagues. She is preceded in death by her parents and infant sister Judy. Susan is survived by her siblings, John and Tom Wright; sister Jamie (Dennis) Shovein; numerous cousins, extended family members and many friends. The family would like to thank Solvay Hospice House, Essentia Hospice and Super One for the care and support given to both Susan and her family. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10 am until the 11 am memorial service on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Cremation Society of Minnesota 4100 Grand Ave. Duluth, MN.
