Obituary of Warren John Laursen

Age 88, of Mendota Heights, MN, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 14. He is survived by and will be missed by his wife, Elizabeth (Betty Ann) Laursen, son, Kenneth Laursen, daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Mike Threinen, grandchildren, Stephanie and Graham Threinen and great granddaughter, Reagan Threinen. Warren served in the 133D Tactical Airlift Wing of the Minnesota Air National Guard from 1948 to 1985. He was on active duty during the Korean War as an aircraft mechanic. He also served as a firearms instructor. He later worked for 3M company. Throughout his life he was an avid deer hunter and loved the camaraderie of the autumn hunting trips. He was also an expert on and loved reading about military history. There will be no formal service and a memorial get-together will be announced later in the year.
