Obituary of Marion Elizabeth Main

Marion Main, 90, Duluth, MN, died peacefully January 17, 2018 in the Benedictine Health Center. She was born on October 7, 1927 to Ludvick and Olga Jensen. She attended Duluth Schools. In 1946, she married Leonard Booth and they had five children. In 1956, she was the first waitress hired at Sammy's Pizza in West Duluth. Her marriage to Leonard ended in 1960 and she worked hard raising her children. Years later, she met Kenneth Main and they married on Valentine's Day 1982. They enjoyed many summers camping and fishing at Boulder Lake. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lloyd; sisters Adelaide and Doris; sons Donald, David and Ronald Booth; husband Ken; stepson-in-law Jim Askelson and her beloved grand-daughter Aimee Phillips. She is survived by daughter Loretta Greenberg of Florida; Grand-daughters Stacey (T. J.) Stephens of Michigan and Dr. Michelle (Neil) Morrison of Florida; grandson-in-law Branden Phillips and great-grand-daughter Charlotte Marion Phillips, Florida, son Thomas (Janelle) Booth, Hutchinson, MN; stepson Butch (Deb) Main, Duluth, MN, and 5 stepdaughters: Debra (Ernie) Bartlett, Britt, MN; Bonnie (Dennis) Setniker, Biwabik, MN; Lyndie (Dan) Hietala, Chisago, MN; Lisa (Andy Rose) Askelson, Duluth, MN; Susan (John) Pearson, Fredenberg, MN; many step-grand and great-grandchildren and her dear friends. The family wishes to thank the staff of Westwood Assisted Living and the Benedictine Health Center for the wonderful care they gave to Marion the past few years of her life. Cremation Services entrusted to the Cremation Society of MN. A Celebration of Life will take place on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. in the Benedictine Health Center Chapel, 935 Kenwood Avenue, Duluth, MN.
