Obituary of Daniel A. Rude

Daniel A. Rude, 73, of Oliver, WI passed away peacefully in his home with his wife by his side, Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018. Dan was born in Duluth May 7, 1944 to Daniel and Lenora Rude. He graduated from Morgan Park High School in 1962. He then attended and graduated from Salter Technical School in Duluth. Dan successfully owned and operated Superior Amusement Machines for over 35 years. On April 27, 1968, Dan married the love of his life, Pamela Cragin. Together they raised three children. Dan's hobbies included classic cars, attending antique auctions, and he was a little league coach for the Oliver Pirates. Dan's greatest love in life was his wife, children and grandchildren. He will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, William and Andrew; and his sister, Virginia Hager. Dan is survived by his wife of 48 years, Pam; children, Dan (Heather), Eric (Sherri), and Jennifer (Edwin) Johnson; grandchildren, Skyler, Ailey, Kalia, Andrew, and Ian; sister, Barbara (Keith) Bischoff; and special nephew, David Dalton. The family would like to thank the staff of Essentia Hospice for the wonderful care given to Dan. Visitation: 9 a.m. until the 10 a.m. Memorial Service, Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018 at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Ave, Duluth.
