Obituary of Jack Chandler Phillips

Phillips, Jack Chandler of Coon Rapids and formerly of Fridley, MN, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2018, at age 91. Jack was born in Duluth, MN and graduated from Duluth Central High School and Duluth State Teachers College (now the University of Minnesota Duluth), where he played football for the Bulldogs. He was a World War II veteran who served his country in the U.S. Navy. He worked for many years as a salesman for Lily-Tulip Cup Corporation. Preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Jessie Phillips. Survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Audrey, and children, Katherine Rodriguez (Sam), Gary, Patricia, Jon (Diane), James (Julie) and Steven (Anna), grandchildren and great grandchildren. A private memorial will be held. Interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice in Jack’s name.
