Obituary of Joan Eileen Isaacson

Isaacson, Joan Eileen, age 81 was born in Forest City, Iowa on July 29, 1936 to Doris Gelner Isaacson and Floyd Maynard Isaacson. She is survived by her sister, Judy Gianetto of Boulder, CO; her brother, Jim Isaacson of Woodridge, IL; their spouses; six nephews and their families. Joan graduated from high school in Northwood, IA and attended a beautician school in Mason City, IA. She spent the majority of her life in the Twin Cities working for several years in the hotel hospitality industry and then as an accountant for the ELCA Board of Pensions. Joan particularly enjoyed travel, working with flowers and socializing with friends. Her pets were very important to her and acted as her constant, faithful companions. Joan was a longtime member of the Normandale Hylands United Methodist Church. A memorial service will be held Friday, May 4th, 1:00 pm at Normandale Hylands United Methodist Church, 9920 Normandale Boulevard, Bloomington, MN. If desired, memorials can be directed in Joan’s name to the Caring Ministry of her church.
