Susan Robillard

Obituary of Susan Robillard

Susan Robillard, age 61, of Coon Rapids, made her transition from life unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 6, 2018, surrounded by her loving children and family members. She was born on April 23rd, 1956 to Rodney and Jean Robillard in Duluth. Susan loved her family and friends. Her children were her life and she loved them unconditionally. While they were growing up, she volunteered at their school, coached, and spent countless weekends traveling to out of town tournaments. She dedicated her time to creating memories they will cherish forever. Susan was a loyal and dedicated Federal public servant for over 18 years prior to retiring in August 2017. During her tenure she built many relationships--a professional and positive impact on people from all over the U.S. during her tenure. She will be remembered for always “paying it forward” by spearheading many office charity events like Feds Feed Families, School Supply Drive, Gifts for Seniors, Toys for Tots, and the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC). In her downtime she enjoyed reading, gardening, time at the cabin, her soap operas and other “can’t miss” shows, stained glass, music, and was looking forward to getting to do more in retirement. No matter what obstacles life threw at her, Susan was always a fighter and continued to be until the end. Susan was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her mother; daughter, Amy Hemstreet; son, Tom Hemstreet; brothers, Reid (Debbie) Robillard, Robert (Michelle) Robillard, William (Lois) Robillard, and Gordon (Georgia) Robillard; and several nieces and nephews. “When someone passes on, some part of you goes with them..but some part of them remains with you. That is the love she gave and will always be yours to keep and be comforted by.” - Mary Maloney A visitation will be held Sunday, March 4th, 2018 from 1-4pm at the Cremation Society of MN in Brooklyn Park. In Lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Angel Foundation or Hope Chest.
