Obituary of John James Shearer

John James Shearer, 83, of Duluth, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at St. Luke's Hospital. John was born on November 8, 1934 to John and Florence (Randal) Shearer. He worked at Arnold Printing for many years. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, LeVern, Art, Carl and Charles; stepson Russ Shearer; sister Betty Johnson and grandson John Colt Jr. John is survived by significant other Marion Carter; sons, John "Jay" (Meg), Bernie (Diane), Daniel and Steve Shearer; daughter Kathi (John) Colt; sister Norma Piazza; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to St. Luke's ICU for the care they provided John. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 9 AM until the 10 AM memorial service on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Cremation Society of Minnesota 4100 Grand Ave. Duluth, MN.
