Obituary of Sharon L. Oliver

Sharon L. Oliver age 67, lifelong resident of Duluth passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side Friday February 9, 2018. She was born Sept. 19, 1950 in Duluth to Donald & Lila Johnson. Sharon was a 1968 graduate of Denfeld HS. On March 8, 1969 she married the love of her life Michael F. Oliver. She worked at Theobald Family Eye Care for 15 yrs and was a reading tutor for elementary children after retirement. She was a member of the West Duluth Moose, American Legion of Post 71, DAV Chapter 6 Auxiliary and very active at St. Andrews By The Lake Church. Her current and past hobbies included crocheting blankets for all new babies, reading, flower gardens, bowling, dart league, hummingbirds, and was a soap opera fanatic. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved all of her dogs throughout her life especially Gus. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Mike; sons, Cory (Jill) of Duluth and Kevin (Meagan) of Superior; four grandchildren, Lilly, Wyatt, Daniel and Casen; sister, Darolyn (Rick) Gulbranson of Hermantown and brother, Larry Johnson of Duluth; many nieces, nephews, other relatives an friends. Gathering of family & friends from 10 AM until the 11 AM memorial service Mon. Feb. 19th at St. Andrew's By The Lake Episcopal Church, 2802 Minnesota Ave. on Park Point. Please, no flowers or plants.
