Obituary of Loretta Durant

DURANT, Loretta “Lorrie”, was born in Oak Park, IL to Frank and Lillian Luba. She died 2/10/2018 at 86. She was raised in Cicero, IL where she attended Morton Jr. College. Moved to Albuquerque, NM and worked for the Atomic Energy Commission. Married Bud Durant upon his discharge from USAF on 05-06-1955 and were together for 62 beautiful years. Raised 3 adorable children. They lived in Albuquerque and Los Angeles before settling in Columbia Heights, MN in 1962, where Bud worked as an Electrical Engineer for 27 years at Honeywell. They flew together in Bud’s planes, border to border, and coast to coast even though Lorrie was not always fond of flying. Lorrie was loved by all. She was even tempered and was never angry or cross, she was, in short, the perfect wife and mother. She will be dearly missed. Survivors are husband and children; Steve (Teresa), Lisa (Larry), and Jill (Jamie), many grandchildren and great grandchildren and her faithful cat, Maxwell. Per her wishes, private family services.
