Obituary of Stephen Logan Smith

Stephen Logan Smith, age 65, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 14, 2018. He was born to Donald and Janet Smith of Edina, MN. Logan was a master negotiator and you were never without lively in-depth conversation with him. He had a sympathetic ear and a big heart. His humble ways and dry humor have made a lasting impact on all who knew him. Logan’s love of music, by the BEATLES, inspired him to make his wedding theme song titled “And I Love Her”; a special request at his wedding almost 35 years ago. Logan graduated from Edina High School in 1971. Logan is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Linda (Erickson) Smith and his precious son, Derek Logan Smith. He is also survived by his sister, Sandra (Brent) Reichert; nephews: Blake Reichert and Brian Reichert, Eric (Sara) Stormoen and Adam (Nicole) Stormoen; niece, Sarah (Dariush) Moslemi; brother-in-law, Greg Erickson; sister-in-law, Brenda (Gary) Stormoen, as well as his adoring mother-in-law, Marie Erickson and many more family and friends. Private family service will be held at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7110 France Ave. S., Edina, MN. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
