Obituary of Carol Cummings Scinocca

Carol C. Scinocca, 85, Duluth, Minnesota, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2018, at Marywood, a Benedictine Living Community. Carol was born February 27, 1932 at St. Lukes Hospital, Duluth to Sophie (Pevach) and Manley Cummings. She graduated from Cathedral High School Superior, WI. She met Jim Scinocca as a child and she stated then that she would marry the "fat" one. They were married on July 16, 1957. She was a longtime member of Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary Duluth. She enjoyed her family, gardening, orchids, the symphony, entertaining and gourmet cooking. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James in 1994, and her brother, Fred Cummings. Carol is survived by her children, Elizabeth (Timothy) Vienneau of Charleston, South Carolina and Paul (Joan) Scinocca of Duluth, Minnesota. Four grandchildren and one great-grandson, sister-in-law, nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Marywood for their loving care of Carol. The family invites you to a gathering to celebrate Carol's life at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Avenue, Duluth, MN 55807 on Saturday February 24, at 2pm.
