Obituary of Earl Henry Sellman

Earl Henry Sellman, 94, of Two Harbors, died peacefully on Sunday, February 18, 2018 in Lakeview Hospital in Two Harbors, with his family at his bedside. He was born in Two Harbors to John and Florence Sellman on December 11, 1923 and was a graduate of the Two Harbors High School. Earl served in the military as a Sergeant Major in the army during World War II. He worked for Iten Chevrolet in Minneapolis for 30 years as a new car sales manager and then spent winters in Arizona after retirement. Earl loved cars and always said he felt as if he were sitting at home in his comfy chair when he was driving. He did a lot of the work on his new home, built 5 years ago. He loved people and always commented on his "new best friend". Earl was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Elinor, his infant son Byron, son Todd, and brother Paul. He is survived by his wife, Peggy, daughters Marcia (Jeff) Weedman of AZ, Sue (Roger) Aleckson of MN, step-daughter Heather Thompson of Duluth, brother John (Judy) Sellman of WI, grandsons Jesse (Michelle) Aleckson, Rueben (Amy) Aleckson, granddaughters Melissa (Matt) Weedman, Shawn Marie (Shawn) Fehn, Amanda (Darren) Allen, Liz (Miles) Moench, step-granddaughter Alicia (Darren) Skojelsvold and 17 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Dr. Anna Perelshteyn, the St. Luke's 2 West Team, the Lakeview Hospital nurses staff and Dr. Peterson for their wonderful, loving care of Earl. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 3rd at 11:00 A.M. at Living Waters Fellowship in Two Harbors. Memorial gifts may be donated to the charity of your choice.
