Obituary of Cecilia Marie Asleson

Asleson, Cecilia Marie (Ocel) age 92, passed away in the loving company of her family on March 5, 2018. She is survived by her husband Donald, who has been by her side for 69 years. Together, Don and Celia had five children, Linda, Martin, David, Jon (Patrice), and James; she was the grandmother of seven; great-grandmother of five; and foster-mother of many. Growing up, she was the oldest of 11 children, and is survived by her siblings Anthony, George, Mary, John, Sam, Gerald, Tom. Celia was predeceased by her siblings Helen, David, Donald, and her parents Samuel and Magdalene Ocel. Celia loved her family and will be remembered for her beautiful family meals, her "up-north" Pathfinder home, her flair for landscaping, her talent for planning trips, and ever-present support at her grandchildren's school, music, and athletic events. Visitation (9am) and Mass of Christian Burial (10am) followed by lunch will be held at Lumen Christi Catholic Community, 2055 Bohland Ave, St. Paul, MN on Thursday, March 8th. Interment to follow at Fort Snelling National Cemetery
